Rev. Dr. Christopher Beeley, Rector
Before becoming rector of Incarnation, the Rev. Dr. Christopher Beeley served as the Director of the Anglican Episcopal House of Studies and the Jack and Barbara Bovender Professor of Theology, Anglican Studies and Ministry at Duke Divinity School. He and his wife, Shannon, are native Texans with three young adult children, sons Reed and Corin, and daughter Camilla. Dr. Beeley graduated with a B.A. Hons. in Philosophy from Washington and Lee University, an M.Div. from Yale Divinity School, and a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame. He was ordained deacon and priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and has served as a priest in eight churches nationwide.
Deacon Dorothy Budd (Secretary)
Dorothy Budd is a deacon at the Church of the Incarnation and a graduate of Colorado College, Texas Law School and Perkins School of Theology. She has served as a board member of Dallas Habitat for Humanity, Interfaith Housing and the Center for Community Involvement in Education at SMU. Ms. Budd is a long-time supporter and champion of at-risk students and families from Roseland and the 75204 community.
R. Stuart Bush
Stuart Bush is a native of Dallas and was introduced to Roseland through his involvement with the Church of the Incarnation. He has spent more than 35 years as an executive recruiter and was a founding partner of his current firm, Chartwell Partners, in 2005. Stuart has held various roles at Incarnation including most recently Senior Warden, and also served on the Executive Council and Bishop Search Committee for the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. Other community roles have included serving as Chairman of The Senior Source and various volunteer positions for the YMCA and other organizations. Stuart and his wife, Carla, have two children who live in the New York area.
Rev. Joe Dewey, Vicar
Fr. Joe Dewey is originally from Columbus, Ohio. He attended the University of Virginia, where he studied History and played Varsity Lacrosse. After undergrad, he and his wife, Becca, did three years of campus ministry together before deciding to attend Covenant Theological Seminary to earn their respective degrees. Prior to his ordination in the Episcopal Church, Joe helped plant a presbyterian church in Brooklyn, NY, where he served as a pastor for four years. He also holds a Master of Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary, where he wrote his thesis on the political witness of Church unity. He and his wife Becca have three children, Denton, Louis, and Florence. They are proud East Dallas residents and love good food and friends around their table.
Dorothy Hopkins
Dorothy Hopkins is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Texas Christian University and a CPA. Since 2011, Ms. Hopkins has been the President and CEO of Frazier Revitalization, a place-based nonprofit whose mission is to be a catalyst for the revitalization and transformation of the low-income Frazier neighborhood near Fair Park. She also serves on the board of trustees and is the CFO of the Foundation for Community Empowerment.
Robert A. Hulsey
Robert A. Hulsey is the president and CEO of American National Bank, positions he has held since 1989. Hulsey is a graduate of both the University of Texas and Wharton Business School. Prior to his employment with the bank, he worked at Texas Instruments for six years.
Hulsey was recently elected to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He also serves on the Kaufman County Children’s Shelter foundation board and is president of Partners in Education, a foundation supporting North Dallas High School.
Cynthia W. Krause
Cynthia W. Krause is an attorney and the Vice President of Gift Planning for the Baylor Scott & White Foundation. Ms. Krause is a 1997 graduate of Leadership Dallas and has served on the boards of directors of the Sixth Floor Museum, the Center for Nonprofit Management, the Shelton School and Evaluation Center and the Incarnation Foundation. She is currently a member of the Vestry of the Church of the Incarnation and a CASA volunteer, often representing the interests of abused or neglected children in Texas' foster care system.
Holly Lemons, MD
Holly, a Colorado native, graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science degree and Honors in the Liberal Arts. Holly pursued her MD at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School followed by an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas.
Since leaving active practice, Holly has devoted her time to family, church, and volunteer activities with a variety of organizations. She is an active member of Church of the Incarnation and treasures the deep sense of community felt in her engagement with those in the Church of the Incarnation and Roseland communities.
She lives in Lakewood with her husband, Brian, and their son, Luke.
Mark Lloret (President)
Mark Lloret graduated with a degree from Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, and subsequently earned a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies at the Dallas Theological Seminary in 1986. Lloret's business career spans 25 years in the business software industry. He was a founding member of the Roseland Partners, a group of 20 entities which provide education, community development and spiritual and emotional support for residents in the Roseland community within Dallas' 75204 boundaries.
Robert Milbank, Jr.
Robert Milbank, Jr. is a Dallas attorney. Upon graduation from Texas Law School, he served in the United States Marine Corp as a JAG lawyer defending and prosecuting courts martial at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina and in Okinawa, Japan. Milbank has served as a Kairos prison volunteer, a long-time board member of St. Philip's School and Community Center, a Vestry member of the Church of the Incarnation and Chair of the Church Planting Commission of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. He is currently an elementary school reading and math tutor and a high school mentor.
Jim Rain
Jim Rain is a native Dallasite who attends the Church of the Incarnation. He earned a BA and MA from Stanford University and a JD from the University of Texas Law School. He has practiced law in Dallas for 40 years. He served as Senior Warden of the Vestry at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and as a volunteer at North Dallas High School and The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center. He and his wife, Megan, have three grown children.
Jeff Sanders
Sabrina Steward
Sabrina Steward has been the administrator and program coordinator of Missions & Outreach at Church of the Incarnation for 6 years. She oversees administrative operations and events for Incarnation’s Missions & Outreach department, including coordinating volunteers, purchasing and financial management, communications and managing inventory.
In addition to being a trustee of Incarnation Place, Sabrina is a facilitator and administrative assistant for the Ladies Oxygen Group, a support group for women and young moms; board member of Under 1 Roof Dallas, an organization that provides permanent supportive housing and other services to homeless and low-income individuals and families as well as Resident Commissioner of the Dallas Housing Authority.
Rev. Shawn Torres
Reverend Shawn Torres, affectionately known as Pastor T, is the Youth Pastor at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor T is passionately pursuing reconciliation in the Roseland community. Originally the location of Freedman’s Town, the Roseland Community is one of the historic African-American communities in Dallas. Pastor T holds a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree, with an emphasis in Multicultural Ministry. He and his wife Nekiah have three children.
